These terms apply to your use of QuiqStart, a free business planning tool operated by Kivein Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By using the site you agree to these terms.

1. The service

QuiqStart generates business planning guidance from the answers you give to a short questionnaire. The service is provided free of charge, without any account or payment, on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

2. Guidance, not advice

The plans, checklists, cost ranges and other content produced by QuiqStart are general information to help you organise your thinking. They are not legal, financial, tax, accounting or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances. You are responsible for the decisions you make and for checking any legal or regulatory requirements that apply to your business, which can change at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, submitting unlawful or harmful content through its forms, or using automated means to overload it. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.

4. Generated plans

Plans are stored temporarily against an unguessable link and deleted automatically after the retention period shown when the plan is created. We do not guarantee that a plan link will remain available, and you should print or save a copy of anything you want to keep. You may use your generated plan freely for your own business purposes.

5. Affiliate links and third party sites

Plans may contain links to third party websites, including affiliate links which are described in our Affiliate Disclosure. We are not responsible for the content, products, pricing or practices of third party sites, and any purchase you make from them is a contract between you and that retailer.

6. Intellectual property

The QuiqStart name, the QuiqTap collection branding, and the design and content of this site belong to Kivein Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them other than as these terms allow, except for your own generated plan.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales. Subject to that, and given that the service is provided free of charge: we exclude all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law; we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the service; and our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

8. Changes

We may update the service and these terms from time to time. The current version of these terms will always be published on this page, and continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except that consumers resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom may bring proceedings in their home courts where the law allows.
