Restaurant, café or takeaway

Menus, table bookings, online ordering and delivery platforms.

Plan my restaurant, café or takeaway

Free. About 3 minutes. No account needed.

Food businesses live or die on two things most owners underestimate: the food cost of each dish, and how easy it is for a hungry person on a phone to see your menu and order.

What matters most when you start a restaurant, café or takeaway

  • Register 28 days before you open. Food business registration with your local council is free and legally required. Everything else waits on it.
  • Your menu must be text, not a PDF. Google cannot read a PDF properly, and neither can someone holding a phone in one hand and a bus rail in the other.
  • Delivery platforms cost you 25–35%. They bring volume you could not reach alone. Your own ordering page brings margin. Most successful takeaways run both and slowly shift customers across.
  • Photographs sell dishes. Natural light, plain surface, shot from above and at 45 degrees. An hour with a phone beats a month of posting logos.
  • Reviews are your reputation. Reply to every one, especially the unfair ones. Future customers read the replies.
